RPC requires Developer Portal approval

The rpc OAuth2 scope is restricted. You must be added as an App Tester in the Discord Developer Portal before you can authorize with RPC.

How to add testers

Go to the Discord Developer Portal
Select your application
Go to App Testers in the left sidebar
Click Add Testers and enter the Discord user ID
The user must enable Developer Mode in Discord settings

Real-time voice state detection for avatar overlays
Local IPC communication on ports 6463–6472

If the Discord desktop app is not running, you will see WebSocket connection errors in the browser console. This is normal and harmless.
